A: This product is designed to handle a pretty standard range of conditions.Ambient temperature wise,it will run fine anywhere from minus 10 to plus 40 degrees Celsius.Altitude shouldn't go above 1000 meters above sea level.For humidity,the daily average needs to stay under 95 percent,and the monthly average under 90 percent.You also want to avoid placing it where there's corrosive gases,heavy pollution,flammable gases,or a lot of intense vibration.On the seismic side,it can safely handle areas where the earthquake intensity doesn't exceed magnitude 8 on the MSK scale.
Q2: What defines "metal-clad" construction at 38kV?
A: So according to IEEE C37.20.2,for something to be called metal clad,it needs to have draw-out circuit breakers,grounded metal barriers between the major compartments,and all the live parts have to be fully enclosed in grounded metal.Our 38kV Meta-Clad Switchgear checks all those boxes,with individually grounded steel compartments for the breakers,the bus,and the cables.
